About Autumn

Loss is one of life’s seasons. Unpredictable and temperamental.

Some days are for braving the storm and some are just for getting through the day. Or even the next hour. But there’s always one next step.

That’s why we we're building Autumn.

Support starts immediately after a death, with free guides and trusted experts to help you legally, logistically, financially and emotionally.

Because sometimes the only thing that needs to happen is the next thing that needs to happen. Then the next one. And then the next one.

Until one day, you wake up, and the seasons change.

Autumn. Make loss more livable.

The way we deal with death is changing

Deathcare has largely looked the same for the last century. Same carpeted rooms. Same fluorescent lighting. Same quiet pressure to choose something from a binder.

But that no longer works, and it no longer has to.

What’s Broken

After someone dies we're expected to act quickly and make decisions confidently. But the truth is most people navigate loss without a map.

We’re handed pamphlets, referred to strangers, told to sign here and pay there. Families are left to coordinate logistics, plan events, handle accounts, and manage estates, with little help and even less clarity.

It's not only outdated but unapproachable, especially to those who need help the most.

What’s Changing

We're in the middle of enormous generational and technological change, and that shift has finally reached death and dying.

People want transparency, flexibility, and control. They want options, not rigid packages and fine print. They’re searching online before visiting an office, if they ever do at all. They’re questioning old norms and writing new ones.

What We Believe

  • Death deserves better design
  • Feeling in control can help you feel at ease
  • Modern tools can lighten even the heaviest moments

The future of deathcare isn’t one-size-fits-all: it’s personal, local, and powered by trust. By an actual person with a face.

No faceless internet company can tell you what to do because death is far too personal and circumstantial. It requires trusted experts, near you, in your community. They understand you.

What We’re Building

Autumn is a new kind of deathcare company. We make it easier to navigate death because we help you take control and feel confident in your decisions.

We help you understand what needs to be done, and who to hire so you don’t have to guess, search, or ask around.

Just the Beginning

We’re building the infrastructure for better end-of-life experiences. We know change won’t happen overnight, but the shift is already underway, and we’re proud to help guide it.

We’re here to make loss more livable.
